As we all know, access to health care is a basic human right that every human deserves. Much like people in America (and across the world), if a child at Chakuwama does not have health insurance they can not access health care as easily. Many of the children’s insurance has expired and new children have yet to receive health insurance. As expected, this can lead to serious health issues that could easily be prevented by seeking immediate treatment.

Fortunately, the solution is simple. The cost to provide a child health insurance for 1 year is 50,000 tsh ( $20). Currently, there are 76 children living at Chakuwama. For $1,600 we can provide health insurance for every child at the center!

Ramla does not receive adequate dental care in part due to lack of health insurance.
